Zoombang™ Wins in Super Bowl XL In between the media blitz, frayed nerves of athletes, and the pins and needles that hundreds of thousands of fans were going through leading up to the Super Bowl, the Zoombang™ team was hard at work shipping Protective Gear to the Steelers and Seahawks all the way up to game time.   Padded rib, shoulder, combination shirts, and all sorts of inserts were used during the big game about 50% of the players from both teams. Adding to the hectic pace created by NFL Equipment Managers and Trainers was the fact that many of the players were quite banged up leading into the game.  If it were any other point in the season many of the players would probably have been given the week off.  But with time ticking down to kickoff in the Super Bowl there was no “time off” for healing.  For example Joey Porter had an injured metacarpal on the back of his right hand that needed protection, and a cast simply would be too restrictive.  “We customized a glove for Joey and shipped it the same day the request came in.  He was able to concentrate on the game, not his hand.  We feel that taking care of athletes in those types of situations is our personal responsibility and we take it very seriously” said Greg Rundy Impact Innovative Products production supervisor.
